huckhuck55: sisters of fates (Solo)

the sisters of fate weave threads between all living people and may choose to burn the thread at any given time.

actions each sister may either tether 2 people together or ignite the thread which burns at the end of EACH phase

details During the night phase, a sister may choose to tether people together making their souls connected, they are added to a private channel where they can communicate. (the sisters are added to the channel aswell). if anyone in the thread is killed, the entire thread is destroyed (everyone in the thread dies) if a sister chooses to burn the thread, they may start a fire at any link in the chain and choose a direction for the thread to burn. the first person at the chosen location dies immediately, and the thread will continue to burn at the beginning of each phase (day and night). the sisters are not disguised. if the thread is broken by any abilities, the thread will stop burning at that spot and must be reignited in order to have the thread burn further. if the thread is in 2 pieces and is not ignited, they must join the thread back together in order to burn it.

alternate option the sisters do not know eachother at the beginning of the game they both receive their own private channel with the people in the thread. if someone from one thread is connected to the other thread, the sisters both join the same chat. (chat becomes 1) if a sister attempts to add a sister to the thread, they are immediately notified and join a sister chat together.

huckhuck55: ie. N1 - link A and B N2 - link C and D (C and D would not be in the thread, but they would have their own thread channel) N3 - link C and B (they are now all in the same thread now.)

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

!Phantomtomic: Are the links not separate <:thonk:688530547857031236>

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

!Phantomtomic: The desc doesn’t specify

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

huckhuck55: so basically, if there were more than 1 sister, it would take some coordination to have a single large thread. but since they start not knowing eachother, they can not immediately coordinate. meaning, there may be a few threads and also, this would mean that town wouldnt want to share the info that they have been threaded, (would help the sisters find eachother)

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

huckhuck55: ill update the description to make it more clear

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

!Phantomtomic: Yeah but a single thread can still get really huge

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

!Phantomtomic: Which is major when all of them die

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

huckhuck55: thats true, but it would take a long time to make a large thread. in 3 nights, if there was only 1 sister, there could only be 4 people in the thread.

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

!Phantomtomic: … <:thonk:688530547857031236>

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

huckhuck55: unless they made multiple mini threads

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

!Phantomtomic: Wtf is a mini thread and a main thread

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

huckhuck55: if sister links 2 people together, they are now in a thread (playing with the fate weaver terminology.) then they would add another person to the thread the next night, either adding a new person to the existing thread, or linking 2 new people together. ie, 1 bigger thread, or 2 smaller threads.

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

!Phantomtomic: God huck I’m going to die from confusion

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

!Phantomtomic: Mini threads are extra channels??

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

huckhuck55: but we could also just have a rule that states, after a thread is started, they may only add onto the thread, not make multiple new ones.

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

huckhuck55: (sorry, i just woke up so my explaining may be a bit off.... sorry)

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

huckhuck55: adding onto the existing one would limit the amount of channels hosts would have to make. and also, being able to make multiple connections may be a bit too strong.

ABCD vs AB, CD, DF.

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

!Phantomtomic: Yea we shouldn’t be making so many whisper channels for each thread

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

huckhuck55: agreed.

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

!Phantomtomic: So basically you link 2 people and after that you add one new person every night to the main thread?

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

!Phantomtomic: Because the 2 player link is really confusing in the desc

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

huckhuck55: so the rule would be in that case. on night one, the sister may thread 2 people together, on the following night if the thread has not been destroyed, the sister picks 1 person to be added to the thread.

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

!Phantomtomic: Alr that’s better

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

!Phantomtomic: So if there’s 2 sisters and both add the same person the their thread instead everyone threaded will go into a shared thread and all be linked together?

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

huckhuck55: correct. both sisters in that case would join 1 channel, but they would both still be whispering (they would not learn eachothers identity)

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

!Phantomtomic: Huh idk how the bot works with this

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

!Phantomtomic: But hopefully it can do that

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

!Phantomtomic: So sisters only know each other if they thread each other

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

huckhuck55: correct.

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

!Phantomtomic: Hm

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

huckhuck55: but im okay with messing with that if it feels off

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

!Phantomtomic: How would snipping work

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

!Phantomtomic: Break a thread and kill?

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

huckhuck55: maybe they cant be threaded, they would just instead learn their identity and not add someone to the thread that night.

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

!Phantomtomic: Oh according to the desc snipping is a plain vanilla thread kill?

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

huckhuck55: (aka, they would receive a message saying, threading that person has failed)

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

!Phantomtomic: Without breaking the thread

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

huckhuck55: yeah, they can either A - add someone to the thread or B - cut a piece of the thread off (kill someone)

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

!Phantomtomic: Why would they want to use a vanilla kill on someone <:thonk:688530547857031236>

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

huckhuck55: cutting a piece off does not destroy the whole thread. only kills that one person

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

!Phantomtomic: A bit situational

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

huckhuck55: could be because that person is a TK or someone that could kill a sister.

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

!Phantomtomic: Isn’t it end phase

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

!Phantomtomic: So it’s even more situational

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

huckhuck55: not 100% on the scenarios where it would be useful, but the option is there incase they get info that makes them not want to wait until the thread is attacked.

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

huckhuck55: and yeah, it would be at the end of the night phase that they either cut the thread or add someone to the thread

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

!Phantomtomic: Err okay

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

huckhuck55: suggestions?

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

!Phantomtomic: It’s good but something’s kinda missing

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

!Phantomtomic: Feels like an aggro shep
