WesleyTheGeolien / t20-Dash_Well_Viz

The aim is to try and build some interactive log visualisations using dash in notebooks and demonstrate what is possible (and also what the limitations are) using dash on subsurface data. Ultimately it would be good to try and collate all the examples into a library of templates to share after the Hackathon :swung: I have put together a quick Google Sheet with some initial ideas, so feel free to either pick one that interests you or add something to the list that you think would be fun to make, all ideas welcome.

@kinverarity1 just added an example of a lith col, probably before making the full PR we should transform this into a function inside datawellviz? What do you think?

kinverarity1 commented 4 years ago

I agree @WesleyTheGeolien - I'm going to include a tweaked version of your lithology plotly example from last night (last night for me at least 😉) into one figure and add to this PR as a notebook. Then see where we go from there?

Hey @WesleyTheGeolien . Thanks! Your example is way better - I've built some functions off it which I guess should be added into dashwellviz and included in a draft dashboard...

Sorry everyone I probably also should have explained that I added a new well as an example because I couldn't locate any detailed lithology information for the Poseidon wells in an easy to read tabular format. Please let me know if I missed it, and I'll adapt the notebook to use that data instead.
