Let's say Mari joined my team and I triggered her supply mission. After defeating 3 waves of enemy, I can choose 5 upgrade cards in preparation for the next wave. This all works well.
But if the player had failed the next wave and restarted the wave, they only get 1 upgrade card in preparation for the failed wave.
Oh yeah, if you die after receiving 5 cards, you lose the benefits. I'm trying to add something that compensates for early death as well as preventing re-roll abuse.
