Can't set Lilypond path #421

Open hurleytom opened 4 years ago

On the Lilypond Output tab when I click the Path button the pop-up saying to download and install Lilypond comes up, but no dialog to actually set the path ever pops up. Video recorded using OBS attached. Using Windows 10 v1909.

Hi @hurleytom ,

I experienced the same issue.

I found a workaround to unlock Lilypond exportation : -> Windows : in regedit, found the key 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Whatang Software\DrumBurp' and set mamually the lilypond path -> Linux : Edit the ~/.config/Whatang Software/DrumBurp.conf , and same, add the Path manualy.

Hope the issue will be fix soon !

I'm running into this same problem actually (3 years later, I know). I tried going into the registry and setting the path like @GilgOuille suggested, and that did stop the message about needing to set the path from appearing. But when I try to generate a preview, it gives me an error saying "Lilypond had an error when trying to run on this score."

I set the path to C:/[irrelevant]/lilypond-2.24.2/bin/lilypond.exe so I'm not sure what could be wrong at this point.

EDIT: Never mind, that solution did get Lilypond working, it just didn't like me using the built in "Open" mode for the hi hat. Adding an entirely new drum to the kit just for the OHH fixed the problem and Lilypond can generate the score with no issues now.
