Ran it outside of VSCode and got a Wayland window (electron apps not running under XWayland challenge (impossible)), also added libadwaita by switching out Gtk.Application for Adw.Application, so no adw-gtk3-dark theme here! image

Anyways, I'm going to add Blueprint (a language that compiles to GTK UI files, aka XML, which is way better in my opinion, unless you're using a RAD designer that doesn't support Blueprint)
