With the Sovereign separated from the Cynosure and the Soltinn distracted by the lure of weapons and supplies due to the actions of Sven Ultreth, Korvar deems it an ideal time to launch his assault on Sovereign Hall and claim the throne for himself.
This quest takes the player through the assault on Sovereign Hall, culminating in the death of Karsten Otherin and Korvar's reclamation of his old title of Sovereign.
The quest begins as soon as the player returns to Korvar in his secret chamber in the Kaldr Tower of Sovereign Hall. Korvar tells the player that it is finally time to reveal himself and that, before announcing his return to the rest of the city, he needs to ensure that the Kaldr will follow him in his assault. He asks the player to follow him, and then leads them down the secret passage in Sovereign Hall to the Kaldr cave, where Voreno has assembled many of the Kaldr members not on active missions. Voreno will introduce Korvar as the brother of Luharaan, the city's founder, and as the Kaldr leader who, in the 2nd Era, briefly took the throne of Sovereign.
Korvar will acknowledge the introduction and explain how he plans to take the throne from the weak imposter Karsten and end the succession of vampire Sovereigns once and for all.
Korvar explains that he means to take the majority of the Kaldr soldiers into the city itself and will march on Sovereign Hall. However, not known for fighting fair, he also asks the player to lead a small task force of agents into the Hall through the secret passage in the Kaldr tower and open the front gate from the inside.
The Sovereign, not entirely blind to the machinations of the Kaldr, will have built temporary protections in the Keep, and the player will have to fight through entrenched guards throughout the keep before finally reaching the front gate. (Some routes through the keep will be blocked off, forcing the player to take the long way around).
With the front gate open, the player will meet up with Korvar and the main Kaldr force, and will quickly force their way through the guards that are heavily entrenched in the throne room. Korvar will then lead you into the Sovereign's personal tower and climb it until they reach the roof - the rest of the entrances to the roof are blocked off. Once the roof is cleared, Korvar and Karsten will pair off for a duel, that Korvar will easily win. As the Sovereign bleeds out, they will have a (hopefully moving) discussion, before Karsten dies. Korvar will then turn back to you and thank you for your part in the siege, naming you part of the Luftahraan council.
