Hey everyone,
I was checking out Luftahraan, mostly Lower City. I've found some glitches or otherwise curious things. I don't know what's WIP and what's not, I've joined the project just today. Some are obvious issues, other are just personal opinions. Here it goes:
This house. I like the blend of wood on older stone wall, perhaps foundation, but it wouldn't stick out of the stone. I assume in reality this part of the stone wall would be deconstructed to allow placement of the wood. Also on the left side of the wooden part the planks intersect with stone without any wooden pole or any other transition.
The same spot, some uvw/texturing issues.
The entrance is underwhelming. Is it wip? I feel there should be an appropriately large door portal. I could make one.
Door frames and portals don't match. I assume it's not finished.
The stairs. I assume it was a design decision to put the flat part in the middle, to allow for handcart usage. It sticks out and doesn't blend with the wall very well.
I don't like how the wall of the door sticks out of the stairs. But it's perhaps because the stairs themselves don't have a proper end on either side.
Talos statue. I think it would be great if the axis of entrance - statue - portal of the statue wasn't crooked.
I have some issues with the statue itself. I think the planter should be smaller, to allow for more room around the statue, to give the place the feel of spaciousness. I'd also raise the statue and make the flowers smaller. Is the planter itself a wip? It could use a proper model.
I get that there's this radial pattern on the floor, but it could be exposed more. Perhaps contained in another regular shape. Right now I feel like it's lost in the irregularity of its boundary.
Behind the statue is a portal, it intersects with the house in an ugly way.
I think this window could use a frame on top and bottom, just as there is on sides.
These windows weird me out. I think they are on the structural supports of the building. Logically, there shouldn't be any openings there.
This entrance to the Lower City is very messy. Handrails on either sides of stairs don't match, and they are both quite wrong. I think the sloped one is better. The straight one obscurs the sight of the district. It's a nice view we're missing here.
Still the same stairs. There's quite a noticeable gap between the stairs and the building.
Last and very minor thing. Textures of the parts of the bridge don't match very well. I suppose this sconce support could use a retexture.
