Voice acting for Davyn Llervi in the quest to be released with Kumano, and then later on for the remainder of his role in the main quest.

Daniel's take on Davyn:

Sounds pretty good actually. I'm impressed!

MorganRobinson commented 9 years ago

Hes pretty versatile, could get him to do a couple of main characters

Doublefelix commented 9 years ago

Wow, he mimicks Bethesda's dunmer voice so well! If I didn't knew better I would believe this to be an unused Erandur voiceclip!

Here's the full script for Davyn's involvement in Kumano: https://docs.google.com/document/d/192MfO-x3jvrH4RN78M2C8Ec8Vdb1UzCPMYCo-Pj1SJU/edit#

If you're about, Luke, here's your chance to get me back for all the nitpicking I do when proofreading your work ;)

Daniel - I'll talk to you a bit more about this once it's been proofread.

It would be nice if you could enable the comments. :)

Arkaash commented 9 years ago

Oops. Should be good now :)

Well, I managed to read the whole thing since yesterday and I could only find one typo... See, you're not infallible after all Sam! The writing is decent, but I have to ask why is Davyn giving all of the answers for free? I know we don't want to over complicate things but free just doesn't seem right.

Arkaash commented 9 years ago

No! I have failed!

And the writing is 'decent'... you're a hard man to please ;) Although to be fair it's not like there are any thrilling character moments in this quest. It's mostly there for handholding/lore interest purposes.

As for the answers for free, some (read a lot) of players will have absolutely zero interest in solving riddles, and whilst I'd much prefer to be in a world where everyone will try their best to get through it on their own steam, some people just won't be interested and will want to skip through. This way, players that want to try and solve it themselves can do so, asking for hints if necessary, and the knuckleheads can just skip through it, maybe learning something about the elder scrolls world in the process.

Soleman1989 commented 9 years ago

I know, but I was thinking more in the lines of if the player can't be arsed to think then there should be a different way they can solve the riddle. Through combat or something. But again, no need to over complicate things on my behalf. :P
