documentation for end-users #92

Open wolftune opened 7 years ago

wolftune commented 7 years ago

For those (like me) who are not directly doing programming on stuff like this (but in my case contribute in other ways to free/libre/open software), it would be ideal to explain clearly the status of this tool and how to run and test it (if it's ready for that) as an end-user.

I understand the software may not be complete, but it looks like valuable work has been done.

I'm specifically looking for just a free/libre/open clone of whenisgood.net with its ability to handle time-zones, have ok/good/best options besides just yes/no, and do general weekly-schedule polls as well as date-specific polls. I was hoping that whenisbest might not only be automatic group calendaring in the complex way the README describes but might also function the simple way that whenisgood.net does.

Thanks

Hi @wolftune thanks for creating this issue! We definitely need to update our README and finish our documentation.

As for how to run and test it, we do already have documentation for that which we will also put in the README soon. This is currently located at whenisbest/documentation/documentation.md. I will have to add some more instructions to it soon to make it more clear (#65).
