What is the use of mobile api Can anyone explain it ?

I have seen it in discord group, but I didin´t understand so much. "the PR adds support for the whatsapp mobile api, which can be used with a phone number to create a truly independent whatsapp client, that does not need to be linked unlike the whatsapp multi device (md) api. As the mobile and the md api are very similar, baileys can be used for both and only needs to handle a few edge cases. I encourage everyone to test the PR and find errors in the mobile variant"
