[Bug]: Dark Souls

Description

Dark Souls 2 on Steam will try to start up, and a black window will come up but then immediately crash. I am able to play Wolfenstein Enemy Territory the same way, but I'm not sure what's the problem. I'm new to this so I'm not sure what to do.

Steps to reproduce

1. Open Steam in Whisky
2. Hit play on Dark Souls 2

Expected behaviour

Game would play normally

I'm not sure if you're referring to the original dark souls 2 or scholar of the first sin, for me (M1 MBA 16GB) SOTFS edition runs fine.
