Flood of 'Unable to Download' at the end of installation. [Solution: Update to the newest Fallout 4 version / Next-gen update] #274

Solution: Update to the newest Fallout 4 version / Next-gen update

Apologies if dumb question; I installed Life in the Ruins yesterday and ran into a wall at the end of installation. I get a flood of 'Missing game file' and 'Unable to download' errors. I followed a guide to manually download the pre-'next gen' version of the game and replaced all the old game files, I have ran it to make sure it's working and on the correct version.

I should also note, another user is having the exact same problem at the Wabbajack issues section which I will also be watching closely. Anyone have any ideas?

I'm reading now in the discord; someone saying to use the next-gen update, so I have backed up my rollback files and am re-updating to attempt the installation again.

Okay, I did some lookin and I found out that the modlist is updated to work with the next-gen update, so that was a failure on my part. I'll also respond to the other thread with this info!

So if anyone else finds this on Google, Update your game to the newest version / the next-gen update.
