Travis is fixed in master now @wingedRuslan - so if you pull from master you should get at least the travis test to pass (the netlify ones should also disappear...hopefully).

@KirstieJane, After a while, I have successfully built local Jekyll site, but I do not see my recent blog post... Do you have any ideas what could be the problem? Maybe I need to "tell" Jekyll to include my post, I just do not know how to do that.

KirstieJane commented 5 years ago

One more thing: I'm not sure you can have a ' in your file name - would you mind changing it to 2019-08-20-GSOC2019-Ruslan-Final-Report.md? If you can also change the date to next Tuesday that makes most sense I think.

[EDIT: you can have a ' so I'll change this to just, I don't like having the ' in the filename 😆]

Great question about the jekyll build.... I'm not sure why it doesn't show up....

wingedRuslan commented 5 years ago

@KirstieJane, you do not see my new blog post locally either, do you?

KirstieJane commented 5 years ago

@wingedRuslan - amazingly - it's because jekyll is being really clever and not showing your post because the date is in the future!! If you change the date (in the markdown at the top) to today then it will show up! 😱 I didn't know that was a thing 😆

wingedRuslan commented 5 years ago

@KirstieJane, wow!! It is not obvious at all! (although, the jekyll behavior is reasonable and makes sense) Now I can see how my post looks like on the website! Niceee :)

Thanks for the feedback about the blog post  I will update it soon.

wingedRuslan commented 5 years ago

@KirstieJane, by the way, I also had to do some manipulations to build the server locally. Do you want me to open an issue to document what I needed to do? or there is no need, cause everyone has a "unique" local machine in terms of dependencies installed?

KirstieJane commented 5 years ago

@wingedRuslan additional documentation would be amazing - please do open an issue/PR 💖

wingedRuslan commented 5 years ago

@KirstieJane, Do I have to write about future plans? I have just one sentence in this section and I do not know what else to add...

wingedRuslan commented 5 years ago

@KirstieJane, I've updated my blog post and it is ready to be reviewed :)

Please find the html-page attached. (convert to .html extension, because github does not allow to send html files) index.txt

I have also relied on the scona description and project's goals from the INCF project ideas for GSoC Link-here.

Hi @wingedRuslan - I've opened a PR to your fork with some minor changes. It all looks amazing.

I'll try to review your 3d viz PR before the deadline so hopefully we can update this blog post with that merged to master ✨

KirstieJane commented 5 years ago

@wingedRuslan - please could you change the date of the post to today? In the header and the file name 😄
