Just, Bravo ! What you've done is quite insane but the best thing is all the effort you've put in the documentation given to us and the it department ! I'm fairly happy to see a story like this finishing in a good way, and not with the school attacking you, since it's very unusual.
Damn I wish I had enough skills to do that back then
fkng L3G3ND!!!!!!
this is amazing lmao gg LOL

You're a fkng genius.
Genius
Mad respect to you man! 👏
If I was a hacker, I would do the same… Chad
This is incredible. Sometimes I wish I was back in highschool with the knowledge that I have now. It would be so much fun hahaha
same lol Would defn be pretty fun lmao
I'm so happy I found this!!! My senior year, 2020 me and my friend were gonna do something similar. It's a long story but when windows 10 first came out it wasn't perfect. We figured out how to brute force the password for one of the IT accounts at my school.(my sophomore year) This Surprisingly only took 15 hrs to run. From there we had had a few applications find all of the adresses to all the ceiling mounted projectors and smart tvs. The next year (junior) the school installed a new intercom which was controlled over the router on a local web-user interface. From there we made scripts to utilize the UI's that came with the devices we were trying to access. These scripts were for sending and receiving data for input sections on the UI. We used these scripts to communicate with my friends computer. We got it working and had it tested out ( stupidly we did it durring school lol) Then we decided to up out game using a photon bord we could use as a medium for our phones. This photon board had the ability to be munipulated over the internet. This way we could make an app for out phones that could control the schools projectors, smart tvs and new intercoms! We had it all set up but my senior year, 2020, covid 19 happened and a month before we were going to prank everyone, we were just refining it and mostly deciding what to play, we went on spring break and never came back. The school year ended. And never got to show our hard work. I'm so glad only a year later someone else did something similar but for their entire district. Props to you man!!! I understand that takes years and many hours of banging your head on the keyboard wondering what went wrong. Congratulations man!!!
Damn Bro your a legit god.
This blog post would have been soo much better with a link to this YouTube video at the end.
Anyway, certainly very incredible and awesome!
that was crazy! The biggest prank my high school ever had was releasing ducks into the high school hallways for a day
Really enjoyed the read!
Wow. As a software dev with 2 years of experience following university, I must say this way above what is expected of a high schoo! Many senior devs with years of experience wouldn't be able to pull this off. Well done, you've officially sorted out your CV for the rest of your life.
When you miss school for one day
absolutely brilliant!!! I wish I couldve been a part of this, I live in a small town in the south so im the only student in my area with any computer knowledge or expertise. Ive done a bunch of small time hacking but this is astonishing. You have a bright future ahead of you
Really, if you can trust that the administration won't ruin your life, then more harmless stuff like this would happen and schools would be better for it.

this is literally a federal crime. the op even stated multiple times throughout his blog not to do it because of the consequences that could follow.

Don't do this. It's illegal, and unethical, if you find that you can do this, report it, do not do it.

This was hilarious. I really enjoyed your talk at Defcon last year.
Hi,Minh Duong.Can you speak Chinese?:)
Random UIUCer who stumbled across your website here – really enjoyed reading this, I never ceased to be amazed by my fellow engineers. Happy Hacking :)
If I were a senior that was at Great Crossing High School, in Georgetown (Scott County), KY, I'd be figuring out other weaknesses that the school IT department could fix in similarity to this.
