Live stream terminates in about 1 minute (occasionally as long as 8 minutes max)
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
2.0.7 on raspbmc XBMC13.2

Archived shows work flawlessly
All live stream providers and quality does the same termination
Have rulled out:
Pi hardware (tried two kinds bv2 and bv1)
SD card: tried 4 and a new one
Tried earlier Frodo release of raspbmc and also OpenElec
PSU tried 3
HDMI cable tried 2
ethernet cable tried three
bypassed net switches
I have xbmc.log of two attempts of using live stream.
