The following setting in Confluence server.xml -> Context causes a slash to be added to cookie pathes in the browser.

Cookie viewed in the browser via F12 Developer Tools -> Application -> Cookies

This causes Confluence log-in detection to fail. A fix is in the making.

Fixed in latest release.
