Hello well try this tool before we will buy it. But in the configuration there is always an error and i have no idea whats the reason for it. Is it possible to get support (sure we will pay for it ). The Error is "COULD NOT GET DATA CONTEXT FOR CONFLUENCE. I CAN DO NOTHING

@christmiLBT Hi, sure, let's see if I can get your issue solved real quick to get your Confluence migration to SharePoint going.

"Could not get data context for Confluence" means that WikiTraccs could not connect to Confluence for whatever reason.

Which Confluence version are you trying to connect to?

How does your Confluence address look like? It should be the base URL, like https://www.contoso.com/confluence or https://wiki.contoso.com.

You can see the base URL in the HTML code of any Confluence page, like here:

confluence-base-url

If there are no obvious issues with the Confluence address, please send me the "common log files" of WikiTraccs. This article has information about where to find them: Troubleshooting Strategies. Simply zip them, send them via email to contact@wikitransformationproject.com and I'll take a deeper look. Thank you!

Hi, thank you for your fast reaction. so it seems like it works now. I think the fault was that i was using a complete Page path linke this https://www.contoso.com/confluence/Sites/view/Testdata Now I`m using just https://www.contoso.com/confluence

So i have another question. The WikiTraccs site in Step 2/4 is just to a place to store the data while the transformatin to sahrepointsites. Is this correct ?

Thank you :-)

@christmiLBT Nice. This is the second time somebody ran into this trap, this should be handled more gracefully by WikiTraccs. Glad you got it working.

The WikiTraccs site in step 2/4 is like the "engine room" SharePoint site for WikiTraccs, where certain metadata related to the migration is stored. This site could be removed after finishing the migration. No actual content is stored there. Confluence content to be transformed (attachments, ...) is downloaded and stored locally in a temporary folder by WikiTraccs.

The Default target site in step 4/4 is the SharePoint site where the content from Confluence will be migrated to.

You're welcome :)
