HydroShare

The DRF API endpoint was integrated based on this documentation: https://github.com/hydroshare/hydroshare/wiki/HydroShare-REST-API

Outstanding issues:

• Bounding box filter not implemented
• Missing spatial fields from API response
• Missing service description from API response

Spatial fields should be added in version 1.10.0 (scheduled for release on 5/15/2017).

We need to follow up with HydroShare to figure out:

• When will the bounding box filter be released?
• When will the API be updated to include spatial fields and description?

CINERGI

Integrated based on examples from "Catalog Search CSW 3.0 Requests" document on GDrive.

This service is a fork of ESRI Geoportal Server: https://github.com/cinergi/geoportal-server-catalog

Outstanding issues:

• No concrete API documentation
• Unclear which fields to use (there's a variety of very similar looking fields)
• Author not available

We need to get feedback from CINERGI to resolve issue #1929.

CUAHSI (WDC)

Outstanding issues:

• Date range filter doesn't work
• Missing date fields from API response
• Slow performance / timeouts with US-state sized AOIs (see #1851)
• Free text search not implemented
• Author not available

There's an open question about whether to use GetSitesInBox2 or GetSeriesCatalogForBox3. See #1858 and #1931 for more details.

We need to follow up with CUAHSI to figure out:

• When will the date range filter be fixed?
• Will free text search be implemented in the near future? Otherwise, we'll need to create an alternate solution (see #1936 and #1937).

HydroShare update:

• Bounding box filter was enabled in HydroShare release 1.10
  • Documentation is in the code here: https://github.com/hydroshare/hydroshare/blob/develop/hs_core/hydroshare/users.py#L247-L292
• Spatial fields in response are still pending, hopefully for release 1.11 which is scheduled for Aug. 9
