The first thing is something that would be a matter of preference for each admin, but the changes I have planned for ASB 1.7 will allow admin to make those decisions and edit replacement preferences for each script.
The new thread thing is a bug and will be looked into.
Thanks
I can't reproduce this error.
Yea just checked and number 2 is defiantly fixed in your 2.0 not doing it here any longer Is there a fix for number 1 in your 2.0 yet
Oh yes. You can edit all aspects of how the forumdisplay script is handled. Just go to ACP->Config->Advanced Sidebox->Manage Scripts tab and have a look at the options when editing Forum Display script-- if you need help, just refer to the help docs (link at the bottom of the page)
Could you give me an example of 1. cause every time I do something to the Update Forum Display the sidebox disappears and I got to uninstall and reinstall pluging to get side box back
Well I'd have to know a little more about your template set up and how you want it to look.
To me, it looks like you want to set the Forum Display script to Header Search:
'{$header}' and Footer Search:
'{$footer}' but I can't be sure. Incidentally those are the only two things you should have to change, and you shouldn't have to re-install to restore anything.
Just export the script before you modify it-- if it has problems either delete it and restore (import) it, or keep trying to you get it right.
I just waned the newthread botton moved inline with the other newthread botton so the botton moved to the left the size of the side box which is 160
pressed wrong botton
Did you try what I suggested?
ok put {$header} in Header Search Text and {$footer} in Footer Search Text hit update and sidebox dispersers
I goofed. I should have said also to change the template being edited to forumdisplay
instead of forumdisplay_threadlist
. . . sorry.
Thats better much better Is there away to move the sidebox down 5px May I contact you have a Idea for another plug-in would try it my self but would not know where to start. only if you got time as I am in no big hurry Oh will your sideboxs work on mybb 1.7 I guess you can prity much close this too

Now that the side box HTML is mostly available to admin for editing (Global Templates that start with 'asb_') you should be able to do a lot more in terms of fine tuning.
I have only realized that while I see it as a very simple process because of my intimate knowledge of the template editor class, others may find it a bit hard to work with. So, take a look around and see if you can do what you want to do and if not, always feel free to ask and I will try to help.

Of course, you have been very nice to help and report, I will be glad to hear your ideas.
Oh will your sideboxs work on mybb 1.7
I have installed ASB 1.7.x (can't remember which maint. point) on the feature
branch of MyBB at GitHub a couple weeks ago with very few issues. It did work just fine and no adjustments were needed. There was an issue with how the setting were displayed in the modal in ACP add/edit side box but it was minor.
I have high hopes that it might be a good conversion but in any event I will get it there even if I have to maintain two separate versions, promise.
I guess you can prity much close this too
Will do. Thanks for being involved in ASB
Not that these are a big deal just thought I would point it out.
