How to replicate: go to AR3000 (spider wood) and open the map, then the game crashes WeiDU.log

WillScarlettOhara commented 1 year ago

Hi,

I'll look into it tomorrow.

Please share your save files right before this area. Thank you

Kallinteris-Andreas commented 1 year ago

just create a new game and go straight to spider wood (you can use teleport cheat)

has been happening with multiple saves

Sorry, but I can't replicate the crash on my side. Are you experiencing this bug with only this mod installed?

I see that you have the BG2EE version of this mod installed in your log, as well as EET. I'm not qualified to detect problems caused by using my mods and EET together.

I suppose it has to do with the area file names, which may not mean exactly the same thing from one game to the next. And so, depending on the order in which my mods are applied, between the BGEE and BG2EE version of this mod, this could be a problem when the game doesn't actually load the expected files.

1) I have tested with BG1 and the issue is not present 2) I have retested in EET with

// Log of Currently Installed WeiDU Mods
// The top of the file is the 'oldest' mod
// ~TP2_File~ #language_number #component_number // [Subcomponent Name -> ] Component Name [ : Version]
~EET/EET.TP2~ #0 #0 // EET core (resource importation): V13.4
~BGEE_AI_DENOISED_AREAS/BGEE_AI_DENOISED_AREAS.TP2~ #0 #0 // BGEE_AI_Denoised_Areas: 220506

and the issue still persists 3) installing BGEE_AI_DENOISED but with AR3000.TIS deleted (therefore without changing spider wood) does fix the issue, that would imply that the source of the bug is AR3000.TIS

Note: i have renamed the files for EET, so filename conflicts are not a problem

It is possible to replace AR3000 with AR3300

Kallinteris-Andreas commented 10 months ago

AR3300 is beregost, what do you mean

tianrui1108 commented 10 months ago

Renaming AR3300.TIS to AR3000.TIS and overwriting the original AR3000.TIS file is fine.

tianrui1108 commented 10 months ago

It is OK to use AR3300.TIS instead of AR3000.TIS.
