How to save? #155

Hello William, I am using your app "iNDS" and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I have 3 roms installed currently, one of them is "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky. The rom works and I have played several hours of it, but I downloaded iNDS from iemulators. The app crashes on opening of the app, but it is the version iemulators has. I am assuming the version has Crashlytics because it is crashing on a loop. I have delt with this before by re-downloading the app. I thought I figured out what happened, but i was wrong like I said earlier it was the version. I know I have to get a different version, but I do not know how to save my progress on the rom/ game. If I can't save my progress for that game I won't get iNDS again because of the time spent into the game. If you can help me save my progress that would help me immensely. Don't get me wrong this app is amazing it's just iemulators version. Thank you

I'm glad you enjoy it and sorry about the crashing. You have to plug your phone in to your computer and save the files through iTunes. If you go to your device in iTunes and select "Apps" you should see a window of all of your apps. You can scroll down to see iNDS. When you click on iNDS there should be a box to the right showing you your roms and a folder named Battery. Copy the battery folder to your desktop, it holds all saved data. After you reinstall, you can copy the the battery folder back to your device using iTunes. You will keep all of your save states. You can also use the same method for roms so you won't have to download them after every crash.  For the future, you can use Dropbox Sync to keep all of your saved data after crashes.

I know this was answered a while ago, but I tried that and it didn’t work. I figured that the saved files needed to be in the battery folder, but I couldn’t move the files into the folder or import the entire folder into the app. I’ve played hours of Pokémon diamond but couldn’t figure out how to restore my saves after I did lose data. Help!
