Steam Error: A generic failure from the steamworks API #234

Please I need a solution. gmpublisher is connected to steam and im using the acc that owns gmod, why am i getting this? please help i need to upload an addon asap.

I don't yet know what causes this error, but if you experience it with other publishing tools, then gmpublisher is not at fault.

I have heard the problem might come from Steam not being open, logged in, or being logged in with an account that doesn't have Garry's Mod, or is banned from uploading to the Workshop.

gmpublish works fine but the reason i dont want to use it its because you cant upload gif thumbnails. this the one i need. is there no fix?

Maybe the problem is with the GIF then? Perhaps Steam have changed their upload rules.

Can you please put the GIF into a zip file then upload it here so I can test it myself?

nvm, so i found out the issue. it has to do with your internet blocking steam traffic you can solve it by disabling firewall. pls add this as one of the solutions for this issue so others will know thank you.
