Hi Team, as seen in the photo, there are currently no categories in MoneyMind, and yet, the system was able to accept in events and still ask the user about the category that the user wants to add the event to.

Team's Response

The user can choose to give a dummy category name and go back to the main program. We accept it causes some annoyance to the user but it does not affect the performance of the app. Therefore, the severity is low

 Issue severity

Team chose [severity.Low] Originally [severity.Medium]

Reason for disagreement: A severity is classified to be "Low" when a flaw is unlikely to affect normal operations of the product.

A severity is classified to be "Medium" when a flaw causes occasional inconvenience to some users but they can continue to use the product.

In this case, I maintain that the severity is classified to be Medium because when there are currently no categories in MoneyMind, the system was still able to accept in events and still ask the user about the category that the user wants to add the event to, causing users to get stuck and have to withdraw from adding the event, to creating a category first, for the purpose of adding that event into the category.

Though I'm not sure what dummy category the team is referring to, when I was adding an event without any pre-existing categories in MoneyMind, I was unable to add any event to any categories (because there are no categories in the first place for me to add the event to). This causes occasional inconvenience to users and it affects the normal operations of the product . Hence I am of the view that this is severity.Medium.
