WInmerge is not showing differences #2407

Hello Winmerge team,

I recently changed laptop. My new Laptop has Windows 11 pro 64 bit. I have installed latest Winmerge from website.

When I open 2 folders (which has same files), it shows, which file has the difference.

But when I clicked that file, there is not differences seen. But files actually has the difference.

Please help.

Could you please attach the settings in the Compare/General category of the Options dialog, or the settings that appear when you select the Help → Configuration menu item?

Also, could you tell me the full path of the folders you are comparing?

Hi, Today the same file is showing differences which was not showing yesterday.

For your reference, I have attached the screenshot of compare-> General. Full Path of folders. Folder-1 C:\Users\ASUS\My Drive @. )\Projects\Dayachand\Layer_Winding_MC4_20220706_V00\ Folder-2 C:\Users\ASUS\My Drive @. )\Projects\Dayachand\Layer_Winding_MC4_TRIO_servo_20221103_V01\

Now I open another folder and I can't compare it again.

I don't know what's wrong I am doing.

Is it possible for you to take my PC online using Team viewer and see the settings?

If yes, please let me know, I will share the Team viewer ID and password.

Any way Paths are

Unfortunately, even if you attach a file to a reply email from GitHub, it will not be reflected in the GitHub issue. I was not able to see your attachment.

I don't know how to use Team Viewer, and I don't know if the problem can be solved with remote operation in limited time.

The folder name you compared included "My Drive" and an email address. Is this related to Google Drive?

I know that files on Google Drive cannot be opened correctly with WinMerge or other applications.
