The WCL is not a copyleft license #16

LICENSE.md states that:

The Winamp Collaborative License is a free, copyleft license for software

The license is neither free nor copyleft, but while you can argue that a "free license" means whatever you want it to, the same can not be said about "copyleft". The second sentence on Wikipedia states that:

freedoms refers to the use of the work for any purpose, and the ability to modify, copy, share, and redistribute the work, with or without a fee.

The freedom to redistribute has been a part of the copyleft definition since the mid-1980s. Since the WCL explicitly forbids redistribution, it is not copyleft.

It's more like a copywrong license, seems more similar to that type. Hopefully this is a easy fix just remove copyleft word from the wording of the license.

The whole license is a disappointment. I was a bit hyped when releasing the source code was announced but with this license I have zero interest in even having a deeper look into this.

It is what it is, at least you can view the source code of Winamp and if you want to contribute you can do that too.

I would rather contribute my limited spare time to any of the audio players with real open source licenses.
