If Microsoft released GVLK (volume license keys) for Office 2021, you are welcome to try activating it. If there are no Volume License Keys for Office 2021, it's possible Microsoft is no longer supporting activation with Office 2021 and is switching to "Click to Run" activations for Office (i.e. Office 365/Microsoft 365 subscription only).
Oh I see, thank you.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/DeployOffice/vlactivation/gvlks Hi, is this Microsoft released GVLK (volume license keys) for Office 2021?
Yes, those are the keys, straight from MS.
So, are you going to update? I think I can't use those GVLK for Office 2021 to build a new vlmcsd. LOL
Do you mean updating the KMD database? Yeah I suppose we could update it, but that's not going to affect vlmcsd code, because the protocol hasn't changed AFAIK. Have you actually tried using the GVLKs with Office2021?
Also note that GVLKs are only released for Office2021 LTSC (Long Term Support Channel); if you want latest features quickly you're stuck with Office365 it seems...
In any case, unless MS changed how the activation protocol works, current vlmcsd release should be able to activate Office2021 LTSC. So just try it. In the meantime I can update the GVLK list on the project website: https://wind4.github.io/vlmcsd/
Thank you for your reply.
My procedure is install retail version, change to volume version by script. Then use KMS to activate. There is a strange thing. I use someone eles kms docker. They use your vlmcsd-1113. I can activate Office2021 LTSC. But in log, it says "KMS v6.0 request from DESKTOP-xxx for Office2013+"
Office 2021 is released, are you going to update to support activate Office 2021? Thanks a lot!
