Hi, We'd like to build a bundle for Helix. Is there a target layer for this hyper visor?

I am not entirely sure what you are looking for? Are you looking for a build of VxWorks Hypervisor?

wmmihaa commented 5 years ago

Sorry, I should have been more clear... My customer would like to use Wind River Helix hyper-visor to host two VM's, one Linux based and one RTOS based.

I've been asked to build the image for the Linux based VM using the Yocto bsp provided through this repo. I've never built a bundle for a virtual environment before, but I would have expected there to be a "helix target" laying around.

So far, my requirements have been limited at best, so perhaps I've got it all wrong and this makes no seance to you.

Thanks

At the moment there are no official supported layer for the base Yocto Project for the HVP.

You can find in the link above the official tested configurations for Linux guests.

Yes, indeed there is a layer (it is actually a set of layers depending which guest OS you select).specifically for building the guest VM. It comes with the HVP product install, or is possibly an additional download if you did not install all the components initially.

There is a specific guide for building the WR Linux Guests: https://docs.windriver.com/bundle/helix_platform_getting_started_sr0620/page/txo1535414908877.html
