MS Store version - some customers can't purchase the program, the purchase window closing right after it opened #161

It is the second time someone reported an issue that when he tries to purchase the MS Store version, the purchase window closes immediately after it opened.

Last time someone reported a video that shows that it works in another app but does not work in WindowTop.

Seems that the issue is due to the fact that the program running as an Admin user / Elevated mode. It is confirmed with the user.

According to what is reported in these links, the Elevated mode is what causing the issue. I also was able to reproduce it on my side.

The question is what the user did that caused the program to run in elevated mode. Disabling UAC did not reproduced it

After more checking, I can't reproduce it on clean Windows 10/11 installation and also after updates. So it should be something very specific to the 2 users that complained about it

I also cannot buy. It comes up and disappear.

@sd309991 Do you still have this issue? Anyway, this issue has indeed yet to be reported more since. And it may be less relevant after https://github.com/BiGilSoft/WindowTop/discussions/258 (option to activate the store version via activation key). You can now purchase a regular activation key from the website to unlock the store version's pro functionality.
