[PIP] add move/lock preview location #292

This is a feature request. ( or I didn't find it , if it is already there ! ) I would love to have a possibility to move the location of the preview, and lock to that position when I'm over the shrinked window.

Hi, it looks like you are asking something that already asked long ago and voted up by a lot of users And just in case, I am currently working on this feature for over a month https://github.com/WindowTop/WindowTop-App/issues/133

Let me know if this is what you want, and please check out the beta versions with this feature.

the Idea is more like this : you see the location of the window , before I'm shrinking it and moving the shrinked " icon " to the corner , If I could have an option to keep the location where it was when I first used the shrink option.

btw can't wait to test, the new crop option , unfortunatly , I'm using the windows store version ... so seems I can't get that beta from there ... (?)

Are you talking about this (the bigger preview)? image

And you want the "bigger preview" location to be the same as the original window size and position?

I have an idea. I will release a beta version that is fully unlocked (without the need for any activation/license), but this version will work until a specific date in the year.

After I work on more stuff in the feature, I will release an unlocked beta version and let you know about it

I released a new version for testing it that is also unlocked, so you don't need to worry about activation. Please see: https://github.com/WindowTop/WindowTop-App/issues/133#issuecomment-1509963054

I understand now.

The current preview behavior (when the mouse hovers the PiP view) shows a bigger window preview. However, the preview's location and size are not the window's location and size before PiP is enabled. You want the location and size of this preview to be the same as the window's location and size before PiP is enabled.

It is easy to implement. It's so easy that I will probably do it when I have time to work on the features.
