BeeBEEP "interact mode" problems #318

I have noticed that when using BeeBEEP (Latest version 5.8.6) that when I put it in PiP and then have interact mode on and attempt to type a message it does not appear quickly but very very slowly, I can speed it up if I keep clicking on the PiP window of BeeBEEP. Sometimes I have noticed that the text also doesn't appear to be all there as if a white bar is redacting the text too. An interesting thing I noticed is if I have PiP in "Show Original Window" mode then the text will appear fluid and quickly as expected and as seen in other software under similar conditions such as notepad and Wordpad which seem to be completely fine even without the "Show Original Window" mode active.

I should also mention that I have both "enable read mode" and also "smart drag" on. I believe it might have something to with smart drag. it slightly changes in behaviour when I disable or uncheck it after the first time when I move the mouse over the PiP of BeeBEEP and/or click and then it functions normally and fluidly for a while as it should. I can't explain it but it might be something to experience yourself because I am not sure.

In what window exactly do you see the issue? Can you send a small recording where I can see how to open that window?

For me interact mode is not working at all on window image

But it is expected. There are several apps that work well with interaction, such as Postman, Chrome, Edge, and Spotify. However, not all windows are supported. I have not yet figured out how to expand the support.

By the way, can you try please beta 11 from here? https://github.com/WindowTop/WindowTop-App/releases

Maybe it will work better using this version.

I think the difficult part with this software is having someone on your network to chat with. You'd need two computers attached to a network running this software to chat between one another. It believe it works purely through a network rather than the internet. Once you have it running on both computers a username should pop up in that main menu you have sent me a pic of and from there it will open up a chat window. It's there where the real problems begin with interactive mode which is a shame because it would have come in handy here.

It sounds like it might be a more long term goal to figure out how to improve interact mode and why it doesn't work well with some applications.

I just installed and tested the new beta and it hasn't fixed the problem. I still have to click on it constantly for any text to appear.

To reproduce the issue with discord (https://github.com/WindowTop/WindowTop-App/issues/320) I had to run the discord app in the VM from another user and make a call to it (outside the VM) only to reproduce the problem.

I can do the same thing with BeeBEEP. I am not going to troubleshoot it today. I will release the final version for 5.22. it proved to be stable.

I will work on it later when I get the time.

Yes, it is not an easy feature. I will try to investigate it more to see how to expand the support.
