Prio list recommendation #163

Problem

There's an issue with certain games, FFXIV, Stormgate(Currently active until Aug 26), and I know of 2 others I just can't think of right now until I come across them doing it again, that even if your account is connected, Twitch doesn't recognize the connection and the idler can't idle for the drops for that game. image image

This is an example for Stormgate that's active and doesn't show as connected even though it is connected and the only Twitch account I have connected.

Suggestion(s)

I know the purpose of the idler is to get drops that you have the game for and not just anything but if the prio list could still force idle games like the ones mentioned that Twitch's connection to the game isn't recognized or doesn't have support for(Like FFXIV, they send you codes in your email to be put into their store). Some people could put in every game and idle for drops they don't have games for, I just want it for the couple games I own that aren't able to be idled for the drops not due to the idler's fault, but instead the dev of the game or Twitch's fault.

Additional notes

Oh Baby! Kart is another I just found

Thanks for the report! I will look into this once I have time, I'm still busy for now, unfortunately.

TDM should probably not require having twitch linked with the drop anyway since you can still claim the drop even if you havent linked to it.

From README.md:

TDM is not intended for/as:

  • Mining channel points - again, it's about the drops: only. The current points you're getting are a byproduct of getting the drops, not the main goal of it.
  • Mining anything else besides Twitch drops - no, I won't be adding support for a random 3rd party site that also happens to rely on watching Twitch streams.
  • Unattended operation: worst case scenario, it'll stop working and you'll hopefully notice that at some point. Hopefully.
  • 100% uptime application, due to the underlying nature of it, expect fatal errors to happen every so often.
  • Being hosted on a remote server as a 24/7 miner.
  • Being used with more than one managed account.
  • Mining campaigns the managed account isn't linked to.

You can find more detailed information on the original repo. I'm just respecting DevilXD's decision since he developed it originally and is continuing to do so now. Once I have time, I'll try to work on pull requests to include all the changes here inside his repo. That's gonna take a while tho, because, for example, he is in favor of writing the themes in an admittedly more maintainable and robust way, which make them require a restart.

The problem is that if you remove access from everything that is connected to your twitch account and try to reconnect the twitch account to the drops sites like the ECO one, there is no way disconnect and reconnect it, so it says unlinked but in reality it is linked and I dont think there is much we can do as users for that..
