Not sure what the entire list is (can you help @Unitech ) but we need to have icons for the WYSIWYG editor. Things like Bold, Italic, alignments etc. I had thought about using @font-face and svg shapes at first, but I think we should provide an alternative using a background image (the @font-face may just conflict with what people are using).

Let's start with just svg and build . I couldn't find anything on http://thenounproject.com/ for this, but we can use the ones from http://fortawesome.github.io/Font-Awesome/ and package them properly with IconMoon (http://icomoon.io/app/). Actually, IconMoon provides an importer for FontAwesome.

Where di you get these icons from? Awesome Font?

Why ? I gave you links to Font Awesome which already has all of what we need, what's the rationale behind your choice?
