No unit test? yeah, I think it's proper, because its logic is so simple, the back-end part is just loopback with extra configuration, and the front-end part is just about 60 lines, and is easy to read.
No styles? yeah, I think for a serious app, it need requirements about designing. Styles should be written in client/styles/index.css.
The default database is in memory, if other database is required, changing datasource in server/datasources.json should work.
