Ok, I found on WoWAce.com where you stated you are working on TinyTip and 
essentially
putting unstable versions out, I can live with that.  How do I know when the 
current
version on WAU is ~stable with a working GUI?

The current version is stable, it just doesn't have all the features you want. 
In 
theory, a nearly infinite number of features could be added to any addon. 
However, a 
configuration GUI isn't something I'm going to just pass up. I hope to finish 
it by 
this weekend.

I appreciate the reply, and the work you do and have done on this addon.  I 
have a
lot of information in my tooltip because I use Auctioneer and Mobinfo.  Without
anchoring it follows the mouse pointer and then I have this massive tooltip 
blocking
my view.  That's really all I'm after is the ability to anchor the tooltip 
where I
want it so it isn't blocking my view.  Whether that's done via / commands or GUI
doesn't matter to me.

To edit options without TinyTip or TinyTipOptions, do the following:

1. Check out the module as a separate addon (in your case, 
"TinyTipPositioning").
2. Edit StandAloneConfig.lua in the addon folder. The instructions are included 
in 
the file. Editing a lua file may seem difficult, but with the instructions it's 
really not that hard. Make sure you include a comma after every entry, that's 
all.

Reporting a bug with /tinytip and /ttip not working.

What I have done to test this:

-- Removed tinytip from Add-On folder and installed fresh copy.
-- Removed any tinytip entry Saved Variables
-- Disabled all addons except tinytip.

Seconding ztiger's comment, can't run /ttip or /tinytip.
mobinfo is suddenly in bottom right corner of interface, instead of near 
pointer.

The name of this issue is 'TinyTip not working' and it's still here.  There was 
a
reply made here about a GUI in the works to correct the problems everyone is 
having.  
What more do you want jeb578?

TinyTipOptions committed. It will be recoded once again for 2.4 to use 
Blizzard's
interface.
