Do you have a timeline for this yet?

AndrewHaine commented 4 years ago

Hey @1stevengrant

Thanks for getting in touch, we're currently working on getting a V3 version of the addon together, i'd say we're around 50% of the way to having something ready for release/testing so we're getting there!

No exact release timeline ready as of yet unfortunately, we've got our own development time and the time taken to finalise certain things in the Statamic codebase to consider.

As there isn't currently an official release date for v3, we're keeping a close eye on the Statamic repos as we want to make sure we are keeping to any best practices set there and adapting/adding new features as we see fit.

Rest assured the new version will do everything v2 did (and more!) and we are hoping to be ready by, if not close to the launch date of Statamic V3.

Roger that, thanks for the update.

Just wanted to check if a v3 release was/is in the works or else we'd need to look at another path for this particular project.

I'll bump this now since v3 officially released.

@AndrewHaine any ETA yet for a v3 release?

AndrewHaine commented 3 years ago

Hey all,

Just wanted to give an update on the state of the addon and Statamic V3 as we've had a few enquiries about a possible release date. We are currently in the process of rebuilding the addon for v3, so far we've ported many of the features over as well as adding some highly requested features which are now possible in the latest version of Statamic. Our feature checklist is nearing ~75% completion so we're not looking too far in the future to get something shipped.

As a small insight we (as an agency) are currently working at capacity and so are having to prioritise dev time for client projects in order to hit some harder deadlines.

We've scheduled in a couple of weeks in the near future to put the finishing touches on the addon and run tests. We have an in-house client project which will need the addon to be updated before the end of the year so will have a release by early November.

Rest assured when there is a major update and something for you to test I'll reply in this thread. You can also follow Candour on Twitter as I'm sure we will post an update there.

Thanks, Andrew

Hello! Any news on an Aardvark update?

aerni commented 3 years ago

Any chance we get the update by the end of this month?

AndrewHaine commented 3 years ago

Hey all,

Apologies for the delay, we've scheduled the next few days to be dedicated to putting the final touches on the release for V3 so we'll have something for you next week!

In terms of progress, we've got one more major feature to implement and that is the redirect management and automatic redirection functionality which i'll be working on from tomorrow, following that we will be testing internally and then releasing later in the week.

Hey all,

Now closing this as we've just released v2.0.0 which is compatible with v3.

We've pretty much re-built the addon from scratch to make use of all the new Laravel goodness possible with v3, we'll be continuing to test the addon in the coming weeks so expect a few minor releases coming in here and there, and of course if you spot anything please open an issue and we'll get back to you.

Thanks all for your patience, looking forward to seeing this in the wild!

Cheers, Andrew
