[Alliance][Quest][Zone][Npc][Items] Western Plaguelands quest order and more!

[Town] Andorhal – This part of the zone has a lot of problems and a separate section of this report will be dedicated to it.

Reading note: when referring to a mob that is “openly hostile” it means that mob will attack anything and everything.

[ ] T1 – [Npcs] Foreman Milos https://www.wowhead.com/npc=47721/foreman-milos Alexis Torry https://www.wowhead.com/npc=47719/alexis-torry and Benjamin Henderson https://www.wowhead.com/npc=47717/benjamin-henderson all 3 of these npcs are labelled as “dead” and have duplicates and most likely are in the wrong positions.

T2 – There is a duplicated corpse of Lurid here https://www.wowhead.com/npc=45129/lurid#comments he should only die near the end of the zone’s quest chain from the information I could gather. If I can confirm it I will edit this section. WoWScrnShot_102119_154502 (Edit: no confirmation found, possibly happens at the end of the quest chain of this zone with the phasing after completing all the lvl 40 quests in andorhal)

T3 – The mobs are very overstacked and have weird functioning here. The Desiccated Spearman https://www.wowhead.com/npc=44316/desiccated-spearman are always stacked with a Desiccated https://www.wowhead.com/npc=44315/desiccated-magus or sometimes with a Opengut behemoth https://www.wowhead.com/npc=45098/opengut-behemoth#abilities side note for Opengut behemoth – Their scourge hook ability is working well and CANNOT pull you through the floor. T4 – There are too many mobs here, usually overstacked within andorhal. WoWScrnShot_102119_161052

T5 – All the cross-faction mobs are constantly killing eachother making the quests very hard to do. They should be fighting with eachother yes but their attacks should do NO damage. T6 – Check if the lvl 40 mobs should be openly hostile to players. Since this zone has 2 halfs of lvl 35 and lvl 40 quests im not sure if the lvl 40 ones should only appear during their respective quests because killing mobs 5 levels higher than you are exceptionally difficult.

T7 – [Npc] Thassarian https://www.wowhead.com/npc=44453/thassarian is openly hostile to mobs and he shouldn’t be.

[x] T8 – IMPORTANT Please check the loot tables for these mobs listed, they drop almost guaranteed green items and gems on every kill. They can sometimes drop lvl 5 fish which is useless and then also drop green items making players free cash money. (fixed)

T9 – [Npc] Rhonda Molver https://www.wowhead.com/npc=46004/rhonda-molver this npc is openly hostile to alliance, not sure if alliance flightmaster is the same. Not sure if flight masters are supposed to be openly hostile to opposite faction unless attacked.

^ Secondary note – most horde shop keepers in their “town” also openly hostile, double check this.

^ Notes: Thassarian is openly hostile to horde players and the same with Lurid. The alliance flight master is not hostile to horde players nor are the shop keepers. This should NOT be like this. Also thassarian should not be targetable by players to be attacked. WoWScrnShot_102119_204939

This is the quest order list: Currently not implemented at all you can take quests as soon as you are the correct level instead of when having to do the quests in the correct “quest chain” order https://wow.gamepedia.com/Victory,_For_Now I think the whole andorhal section must become phased after a particular quest, moving the npcs around and changing what mobs are showing. Also, A LOT of the quests from andorhal are not available from the quest givers. Especially in Andorhal.

1 – [Quest][Item] The Endless flow https://www.wowhead.com/quest=27161/the-endless-flow this quest is bugged in several ways, firstly the mobs needed for the quest are not spawned at all https://www.wowhead.com/npc=44329/stickbone-berserker and the quest item does not work on the Scourge Bone Animus.

[x] ^ MASSIVE EXPLOITABLE BUG: the quest item works on ALL mobs in andorhal and can easily 2 shot large packs of mobs with the bomb item making levelling here a breeze. This quest item ALSO works on enemy players and can kill them easily as well. As tested with Echi (fixed)

2 – [Quest] Depravity of the forsaken https://www.wowhead.com/quest=27205/the-depravity-of-the-forsaken This quest is available as soon as you reach lvl 40 (Same as all the lvl 40 quests in this zone) and ignores the previously required quests. 3 – [Quest] Supporting the troops https://www.wowhead.com/quest=27198/supporting-the-troops quest has a lot of the lvl 35 Andorhal deathguards https://www.wowhead.com/npc=44447/andorhal-deathguard don’t count towards the quest, not sure if this is a phasing problem or if the mob appears at lvl 35 and 40 at 2 separate IDS but that would require phasing to be implemented.

4 – [Npc] Aradne https://www.wowhead.com/npc=45235/aradne mob does 40 damage per hit and and also drops gems check her stats and loot table.

5 – [Npc] High Priest Thel’danis https://classic.wowhead.com/npc=1854/high-priest-theldanis Location is wrong.

6 – [Quest] The abandoned crypt https://www.wowhead.com/quest=27170/the-abandoned-crypt the undead mobs should only appear after you turn this quest in. Video of this here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBvw0LdXuxs

7 – [Quest] Brother against brother https://www.wowhead.com/quest=27202/brother-against-brother no mobs that give credit for this quest is available. This quest giver should also appear in andorhal during the phasing.

8 – [Quest] https://www.wowhead.com/quest=26956/i-aint-sayin-you-a-gourd-digger quest items don’t sparkle making it super hard to find the clickables!

9 – [Quest] [Npc] Zenkiki the druid https://www.wowhead.com/quest=26953/zenkiki-the-druid quest should spawn an npc follower that assists you in combat, this does not happen and thus the quest is impossible. 10 – [Npc] [Loot] Rares such as Scarlet high Clerist, Scarlet Interrogator, Lord Maldazzar(Additional note about LM, his summon skeleton ability summons a lvl 1 skeleton) and Dreadwhisper drop nothing but some silver and sometimes nothing and they should drop rare items etc http://wowrarespawns.blogspot.com/2012/03/western-plaguelands-rare-spawns.html Also plz double check that all are spawned and scripted.

11 – [Quest] [Npc] This is our army https://www.wowhead.com/quest=27173/this-is-our-army there are no mobs in this location for this quest, also check up on the follow up quest https://www.wowhead.com/quest=27174/combat-training since this quest is usually bugged for most servers.

12 – [Quest] Learning the ropes https://www.wowhead.com/quest=27000/learning-the-ropes you should be able to mount one of the nearby horsies and use them to scare the spiders Needed Zinius to complete this quest to move on to the next one.

Conclusion: Only about half the quests in this zone is working, using the bombing method to kill mobs to farm Greens, gems and cloth is a massive problem as it lowers the value of those items and can be exploited to earn a lot of low lvl gold and exp.

The zone fulfils the needs to get from lvls 35-40+ but the loremaster achievement for this zone is not working at this moment.

Will check more tomorrow

one more for .bq command https://www.wowhead.com/quest=27156/its-about-time - as listed in number 14 of the report. Please also check if https://www.wowhead.com/quest=27157/drudges-sigh is needed for a .bq it might not be since its a simple kill quest and the mob is spawned

@Rushor sorry that i made so many issues last night - i was overtired an exhausted.

@Echinaceax : is there any chance to get a summary / list with all the available ".bq" commands for all the buggy and missing quests in the western plaugelands? There are actually a lot and so much text to read through.

What is the correct handling? The GM can only help me, when the quest is reported as buggy.

i don't dare to ask when this is all fixed - i guess it is minor problem because majority of the players rush to become lvl85.

Quest 26954 - A Different Approach is still bugged, but not listed as bugged, so the .bq command does not work. NPC Zen'Kiki is needed to slay the Diseased Hawks on the hiltop in Western Plaguelands (53,53), but he does not spawn. The two other Zen'Kiki quests are listed as bugged, so the .bq command works on those.
