Bag contents count doesnt update

The coal count is only updating when I check, fill or empty it, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but the issue persists.

I even let my character sit for a couple seconds after mining coal but that didn't change the count either.

Seconded. It only updates when I manually select 'check bag'

Thanks for reporting! Apologies I haven't been very active with OSRS or this repo.

This is a known issue with the plugin, with no fix that I'm aware of. Currently, the plugin only recognizes coal that is put in, removed, or emptied from the bag manually. There may have been some changes to RuneLite that would allow this, so I'll check when I have some time. As far as I'm aware at this time, there's no fix for this sadly.
