I created a Google doc to collaborate on the content for the proposal. → moved comment to the correct issue: https://github.com/WordPress/DEIB-Issue-Tracker/issues/13#issuecomment-1847362182
We will work on Google Docs as a first step:
Community Summit Follow-Up - Overview - start here
If you need permissions to write on this document, please reach out to @CoachBirgit (coachbirgit on Slack),
Chiming in here after realizing this Sustainability Team roadmap idea https://github.com/WordPress/sustainability/issues/17 was in fact moving forward (not surprising since @CoachBirgit facilitated the Community summit discussion!).
Knowing this is a DEIB priority (and something Sustainability Team would like to enable and contribute to) does it make sense to have a separate issue on the Sustainability Roadmap? Should we reference 'this' issue instead?
@gusaus to reduce the burden on the Sustainability Team and avoid overlapping work – even if there are intersections, I'd suggest referencing the DEIB working group in the Sustainability Roadmap instead of maintaining a separate issue.
I would like to help with this one. Please assign me to this issue.
@lumumbapl thanks for supporting this effort alongside Laura. Do you mind cross-checking the summit notes with the extended proposal for overlapping areas? https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Hu8pWjPaeIde18YxykKWs_VN0qx1oqYHr2H1Cm62qZ4/edit?usp=sharing
@lumumbapl Hi, in today's Slack meeting I brought up the idea to add a checklist of the Summit Notes here so that it is easier to keep track on which ones are done. There is a tracker hidden in the Start here doc.
@CoachBirgit and @lumumbapl WP Community Summit Notes
In the Community Summit Follow-Up - Overview - start here is the Document processing tracker. It is hidden so to make it easier to keep track of documents completed we added a checklist here.
In order to identify groupings or areas of focus we first need to pull out all of the relevant action points from the Community Summit notes (Raw notes here).
Once we have the action points we can start looking at how to group and manage them.
This will be a labour intensive task so will need multiple volunteers to help with it.
