  1. Updated old links
  2. Updated old information and instructions

  4. Added QuickInstall

Although WordPress is straightforward to install, you can use one of the one-click auto-installers typically available from hosting companies. The most popular auto-installers, Softaculous, Plesk, Installatron, and QuickInstall and are described here.

Softaculous

  1. Log in to your host, and look for Softaculous Apps Installer

  1. Click WordPress, and it will redirect you to Softaculous dashboard.
  2. Click Install or Install Now for one-click quick installation.

  1. You can also click the dropdown arrow, then choose Custom Install. If you want to change installation parameters, and set up the Advance Settings.
  2. Done! As simple as that.

Plesk

If you’re using the Plesk control panel, you have two options: one-click quick install or custom install which allows you to configure things like installation path or database prefix. Both these options are available regardless of whether you have WordPress Toolkit enabled or not. However, special security measures are applied during installation only if WordPress Toolkit is enabled. If you don’t have WordPress Toolkit, your WordPress installations will have the same security as manual WordPress installs.

  1. Log in to your Plesk account and go to Applications tab in the Sidebar. Go to Featured Applications.

image

  1. Click Install next to WordPress for one-click quick installation.
  2. You can also click the dropdown arrow next to Install and click Custom if you want to change installation parameters.

Note: If you chose quick installation, no need to do anything else, as your WordPress blog has already been installed. If you chose custom installation, change the settings you want and click Install.
