Subscribe field gets disabled on submitting the email #2795

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

Go to https://learn.wordpress.org/
Scroll to the footer
Enter the email-id in the field and click on the Subscribe button

OBSERVATIONS

The field gets disabled
Nor I user is logged in

EXPECTED RESULT

The field should not get disabled and should

Hi @pooja-muchandikar - thanks for the report. I haven't been able to replicate this issue so far, either logged in or logged out.

Would you mind please sharing the following:

A screencast
Your browser and version
Your OS and version
Your device

If the issue is still occurring, could you please try disabling all your browser extensions or add-ons and let me know if the issue goes away?

Here are the below details:

Browser Chrome, Version 127.0.6533.72

Device and OS Mac OS 14

Please note I checked in the private window where all browser extensions are disabled.

When the user enters the email and closes the pop-up the subscribe field gets disabled, even after page refresh/navigating to another page the field remains disabled only.

Let me know if any more details are required.

I can replicate this in a private window. In my standard browser window I get different UI, although the result is ultimately the same, I am not able to resubmit.

Worth noting that this is a Jetpack subscription form, so an issue would need to be raised there if necessary. I'm wondering if this is by design though.
