Contacting Nominees

Congratulations {{ first name }}! You have been nominated as a polyglot to be featured in WordPress Translation Day 2021 this September and beyond! We really appreciate all you do to help translate the software and its resources and support the community.

If you are happy to be featured, we have some questions to help us put together the short posts. Thanks in advance for your replies.

Can you please talk more about the information we have received as part of your nomination. We hope to use some of this in the feature.

Updated to reflect @abhansnuk copy for the outreach email. Slack DM text and Google Form no longer necessary.

Thanks Larissa. Let's use the text we drafted in the meeting with the questions and that way they receive one email with the information. We can follow it up with a second email once we have the after party dates and can invite them to those too.

If you are happy to be featured, we have some questions to help us put together the short posts. Thanks in advance for your replies. Can you send me a photograph of yourself (on you own which can be used (copyright allowing) [[minimum resolution please of 800x800]] Please share your personal social media accounts which we could potentially link to? It is not compulsory to be featured on social media, please let us know if you would prefer to be only featured by us on the website. How long have you been a translator for WordPress? What language(s) do you translate? What is your favorite aspect of being a polyglot? This could be translating or reviewing a translation. Anything you would say to encourage someone to consider starting to translate WordPress Can you please talk more about the information we have received as part of your nomination. We hope to use some of this in the feature.

Update: we are doing outreach through Slack rather than email, with the organising team splitting up and each person contacting at least a couple of nominees.
