- With a refreshed look, the WordPress 20th anniversary website offers a list of events to join and swag to sport for the occasion. You can also download “selfie props” for your WP20 celebrations and share a photo of the favorite WordPress merchandise you've collected with the community.

New in the Gutenberg plugin
- Gutenberg 15.5 brings many user-facing features to improve the creation experience, such as caption styles customization and theme-defined template patterns when adding a new template.
- Gutenberg 15.6 was released on April 19, 2023, and introduces a new experimental Details block for early community feedback and more presets for core blocks spacing and border controls.

- Planning for WordPress 6.3 kicked off with a proposed schedule and a call for contributors to the release team.
- Preparations for the next women and non-binary WordPress release squad are also underway.

- WordPress 6.2 reiterates the platform's commitment to optimizing website performance with significant improvements. You'll note load times are 14 to 18% faster for block themes and 2 to 5% faster for classic themes. Server-side performance also sees a big boost, with an increase of 17 to 23% for block themes and 3 to 5% for classic themes.
- The Polyglots Team launched WP Translation Playground, a new tool that combines Local GlotPress with WordPress Playground to translate plugins and themes in context—without having to set up anything (it runs directly in your browser).
