Incorrect jumping within the editor after inserting (ctrl + v) external content #183

Setup

WP: 6.0 Plugin version: 1.6.2 Theme: any Other active plugins: tested with a completely fresh WordPress installation without additional plugins.

Issue

When I copy & paste (ctrl + v) content from external sources, e.g. text from the Windows text editor, the focus jumps to the middle of the editor and does not stay where I pasted the text. The problem only occurs with articles that are longer than one screen page and where I have added at least one image via the WordPress Media Manager. The problem does not occur in the Gutenberg Editor (Block Editor).

This issue was also reported in a support thread, here

Hi @Bamux as I was testing this I couldn't replicate the issue. Maybe this could be more related to the environment you are working on as mentioned in this other more recent support thread.

Can you please share information about the browser you are using?

@Thelmachido The problem no longer seems to occur in the current WordPress version, at least I could not reproduce the error. Our editors, who work with it every day (Chrome Browser), have also no longer observed the bug.

Think this was handled in core. It's not a problem with this plugin.
