There's still definitely room for improvement here - but that can be addressed in the future.
One of the key aspects of the Data Liberation initiative will be considering the existing system used for import/export (WXR files) for improvement.
WXR has been around for a long time and does a sturdy job - but definitely has some limitations.
How can I contribute to this work?
The best way now is to join existing discussions (linked below) or start your own in relation to WXR and the import/export flow! Your ideas and input are valuable and welcomed!
