It looks like we have a range of invalid, incomplete, and dormant or abandoned pledges and contributors. This issue is an attempt to track the different types and suggest a process for handling each type.

An incomplete list:

[ ] Companies with no contributors
[ ] Company with only itself as contributor
[ ] Company with only one contributor
[ ] Company with multiple contributors that have no activity or badges
[ ] Company with multiple contributors that have no recent activity
[ ] Company with some contributors that are active and some that are not
[ ] Company sponsoring contributors with the wrong badges / hours / etc

I'll add more types as they turn up in discussions.

Companies with no contributors

We should reach out to these with an email suggesting steps for them to take (add some contributors). Something along the lines of:

Hi there COMPANY.

A while ago you pledged to contribute 5% of your Organization's resources to the WordPress project:

https://wordpress.org/five-for-the-future/pledge/COMPANY

We haven't yet seen any contributors from your organization, and we need your help!

All of our community teams are working on new and important projects. To get your employees involved and actively contributing to those projects, go here and [do this thing]:

https://wordpress.org/five-for-the-future/LINK

Some of our teams that are most in need of contributors are:
https://make.wordpress.org/core/
https://make.wordpress.org/design/
..but we welcome new contributors to all of the teams listed at https://make.wordpress.org/. If you have any questions we'd be happy to help put you in touch with a team representative.

If you have received this email in error or are no longer able to contribute to the future of WordPress, please let us know and we'll remove your company listing from the contributors page.

Thanks for your pledge, we look forward to working with you on the future of WordPress.
