Page break block doesn’t appear on the front end #311

Describe the bug

I wanted to surface this Gutenberg related issue #29484. When inserting the page break block on a page or post, the page break doesn’t appear on the front end.

To Reproduce

  1. Create a post
  2. Add contents
  3. Insert the Page Break block
  4. Update
  5. See error on the front end

Expected behavior

Display a pagination link where the Page Break block was inserted

Tested on

5.9-beta4 with Gutenberg v12.2.0.

I completely forgot about that bug :( but I don't think it can or should be fixed in the theme.

Agree. The issue appears to be on all block themes I tested 😔

Thanks for flagging this one! I agree, it shouldn't be fixed in the theme. I'll close the issue here, but flag it to see if someone can take care of it in Gutenberg for 5.9.
