Despite using the correct automatically-assigned template on the front end (based on page slug), when used in the editor does not have the correct content size, so it looks incorrect while editing. This has lead to confusion for the folks managing the content.
Setting a page template (_wp_page_template=page-blocks) fixes the issue so that the editor goes back to a full-width live preview.
