Given WordPress Playground's excitement and potential, it has become clear that we must explore how we position the technology in order to better sell its capabilities. In light of that, we've kicked off a branding initiative for Playground to define how we message its power visually and verbally. The idea is that this brand will visually fit within the WordPress.org mother brand but will leverage its own set of graphics to differentiate and show Playground’s value add.
We've been exploring the visual system through the lens of the WordPress.org landing page, focused on ways to communicate the idea of “automation” and the ease of unlocking WordPress with one click. Our inspiration has been thinking of Playground as the engine that powers WordPress. Our graphics express the power of a generator or amplifier and of being teleported into WordPress.

Option 2
The copy and designs are not yet finalized, so please share any feedback or suggestions here. This is an initial quick iteration, with the intention that we will continue to update the page and the graphic elements over time. As Playground continues to grow, the wordpress.org/playground site should evolve as well.
