CTD almost on all Flights after last Sim Update. Safemode deactivate the mod and no CTD anymore. Hapenning almost on all flights, have to stop to use this mod.

Happened to me today after 1.5 hr flight, when I was on approach.

This has happened to me on back to back flights in the past two days. Same thing, crash to desktop. I actually came on here to open an issue in hopes that maybe someone else has seen it. I've been getting them since SU5. And only in the CJ4...never had any issues up to that point. After SU5 had a number of issues with buttons and display issues in the cockpit. After doing a clean reinstall of FS2020 (totally removed the cache in %appdata% as well), CJ4 was restored to its former glory but now I'm experiencing these CTDs only in the CJ4 and normally at the end of my flights. Might have to ground her until this is resolved.

Seem to always get a bunch of Perflib 1008 errors before it crashes....not sure if that's related though

EDIT: The CTD started after a fresh install of FS2020 after SU5 with 0.12.7. Still getting them in 0.12.8 and I do remove the older folder from community and paste new folder

EDIT 2: So attempted a flight 3 or 4 times Cherbourg, France (LFRC) to Aberdeen, Scotland (EGPD)...random I know....OnAir job..lol. CTD on all flights around the same time, about an hour or so into the flight, 10-15000ft on approach. Not sure if anyone could reproduce it.

Too absorbed trying to investigate the cause of my CTDs with 12.8 without first checking in here. Good to see it's not just me with issues. Started after su5 like alot of folks but worked out quick turning off AI solved it (for me anyways). Since su6 and 12.8 updated, old trusty wtcj4 now just randomly crashes mid flight. MSFS2020.exe has encountered a problem blah blah... Empty community folder and fly the default cj4, no issue at all but who on earth wants to use that! Read somewhere inputting SID's and STARS may be the cause but haven't tried yet. Also will give a VFR flight without a flight plan inputted a try and see how that goes.

Same problem here with the CJ4 Mod. Always during climb, once a bluescreen and once a CTD. First flight:Flightplan entered from Simbrief, but forgot to enter ARR/DEP. During Climb suddenly stuttering sound, then Bluescreen: IRQ error Second Flight: Flightplan entered from Game, added ARR/DEP manually, during Climb CTD.

So I started a VOR flight without any flightplan. And... arrived at the destination airport without any problem

Hmmm. Maybe this is good news as an edit to my above post that indeed I can complete the whole flight by flying VFR and here lies the cause.

Simbrief flight plan or in game FP with either FPSync on or off makes no difference, so does manually inputting the FP via FMS still causes CTD's

Hopefully a number of others can confirm this by flying VFR for themselves some distance so we can get some picture as to how many actually have this issue!

So I did some research today, always a flight EDDL->EDDP:

  1. FPL with MSFS without DEP/ARR. When I selected a parking spot, MSFS added a ARR itself. WORKED !
  2. FPL with Navigraph without DEP/ARR, imported in MSFS, then imported into FMS. WORKED !
  3. FLP with Navigraph with DEP/ARR, imported in MSFS, then imported into FMS. DEP/ARR was imported into FMS too, so no need to add them manually. WORKED !

I forgot to add in my last posting, that the second flight was with FPL imported into MSFS and then imported into MFFS from GAME. But that was also a Simbrief FPL. So perhaps it has something to do with the FMS import function of Simbrief Flightplans, no matter if direct or via MSFS. That's what I'll test next.

I think the CTD had nothing to do with importing Simbrief flightplans.

I made a last Flight EDDL->EDDP this night. Simbrief FPL imported into MSFS and FMS. This time I had to choose DEP/ARR manually.

WORKED ! I landed at EDDP a bit bumpy, my passenger spilled some coffee but ok...

Sooooo, what was that CTD then ? The only anomaly I remember was that after I had the bluescreen with my very first flight, on the second flight it was not possible for me to import the simbrief FPL, instead I got an error in the FMS "WRONG PILOTID". That was the reason that on the second flight I imported the FPL with MSFS and then into FMS with the "GAME" import function.

So I think the bluescreen had nothing to do with MSFS at all, it was an IRQ error by one of my peripherals. And that faulty PILOTID perhaps caused the CTD on the second flight. And before I made the "research" flights, which were all ok, I re-entered my Simbrief Pilot ID in the FMS.
