«Updating Subscription» does not redirect or close #1274

If reporting a bug:

  1. Can you describe the problem and bug in more detail? When upgrading to a subscription, yearly in my case, the «Upgrade successfull» tells me to not close the tab and that it only takes a second to upgrade the subscription.

Though nothing happens.

  1. Expected behavior (i.e. solution)

Page should either redirect, close or tell me how long I really have to wait.

Trying to get into a resproducable state and a few notes/questions: How long did you stay on the "Update Subscription" screen? It took for me like 10-15s to confirm.

Which browser are you on?

Arc (from the Browser Company) on macOS. Which is basically Chrome.

How long do you already have a Memex account?

Something around 2020 maybe? At least, that's a recipe I found in my email history about a subscription I bought.

Did that problem also appear before you did the upgrade?

No.

How long did you stay on the "Update Subscription" screen? It took for me like 10-15s to confirm.

I had it open, waited perhaps 30 seconds, left it open and did something else in another tab. Came back after a couple of more minutes, and then just closed it manually and checked if the subscription is visible in the Memex extension.
